Successful Decision-Making Process

Successful Decision-Making Process

Decision-making seems like it should be a simple process, but sometimes we can find ourselves vacillating back and forth between one or more choices, truly unable to make a solid decision.

One of the things that makes decision-making so unnerving is the fear of making a wrong move. We get mired in “what ifs,” paralyzed by fears of what could go wrong.

Following are techniques that can help you gain the clarity to make wiser decisions for yourself:

1) Clear your mind. First take a few minutes to get into a relaxed state of mind and release all fears and worries. This will help you to think more logically, rather than getting stuck on emotional responses.

2) Listen for signals. Bring each choice to mind individually, and pay attention to the responses from your body. Does one choice make your gut tighten up in apprehension? Does another choice make you feel a bit giddy or hopeful?

3) Consider the pros and cons. This is an old trick that is still quite effective. Rather than relying on your emotional impulses, you can look logically at the benefits and downfalls of each choice. Writing them down on paper is even better, because it can help you to see clearly which choice seems most beneficial. Sometimes this technique alone is enough to help you decide one way or another.

4) Consider the consequences. Sometimes you’ll discover that your fears are out of proportion to the likely consequences, and once you realize the likelihood is small, you will be more confident in finally making a decision.

5) Choose. That’s the hardest part, I know. But again, even NOT making a decision is a choice in itself. Wouldn’t you rather have control of your choices, rather than letting your inaction bring about its own consequences? After using the techniques above, you should have a pretty solid idea of which choice is best for you.

Most importantly, remember that truly “wrong” decisions in life are rare. Rather, each choice has a corresponding consequence.(Except destructive choices that result in harm to yourself or another. Those I would consider definitely bad or wrong choices.)

But in a general sense, every decision we make simply moves us down a particular path in life.We learn and grow in wisdom with every decision.

Any Decision Is Better Than No Decision

Any Decision Is Better Than No-Decision – The Law Of Decision-Making
By; Admin

Life is option. And every body have to take decision. To take decisions is to take responsibility. To take responsibility is to create your life. This is mean every body is a leader of their life.

Taking decisions is choosing between possibilities. Why some people find it so difficult to take decisions?

  • At the same moment you choose something, you lose something. It is a fact of life. When you are standing at a cross-road, no meter what road you choose, you will not arrive at the places that the other roads are going to. For some people this is a paralyzing situation. They keep standing still until life circumstances are taking control on the decision for them…
  • Sometimes the difficulty to take decision comes from the position of one who wants to eat the cake and to keep it a whole. This attitude is also paralyzing. Whatever you choose – you lose!
  • And, there are the FEARS: Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of criticism, fear of loses, fear of pain, fear of etc.

Future maping is about taking decisions about their future life: setting goals, prioritizing them, making a plan, choosing the steps, waiving things that Burden on you even if you want to keep them, and stepping out of your comfort zone. Small steps or big steps, they are all results of decisions. Such many decisions one should take. These was very important and urgent for our Kids and student to create a better life.

Sometimes, when you need or must choose between two good choices or two bad choices, and you consider of the pro and cons of each, nothing conclusive, even if you are a type of a person that are used to take decisions, you do not know what to do… If that is the case you might as well through a dice and make the necessary steps, because what is important is to choose a road and go ahead and don’t look back.

Remember, whatever decided, for better or worse, people are are the creator of their own your life. For any road you choose, you always take yourself. What ever the road is, it will serve your initial purpose of self growth and self-development.

Here is a poem that I love, by Robert Frost, about choosing:

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

and sorry I could not travel both

and be one traveler. long I stood

and looked down one as far as I could

to were it bend in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,

and having perhaps the better claim,

because it was grassy and wanted wear;

though as for that passing there

had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet, knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -

I took the less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

credir card for high school student

October 19th, 2009 hayadin No comments

Students in high school that are looking to start building their credit early can get high school student credit cards. These credits cards can help teach high school students responsibility, and how to manage their credit at an early age. These types of credit cards are issued to high school students, with a parent or guardian co-signing with the student. Students who have these credit cards also have a sense of responsibility as well. Before applying for a high school student credit card, both students and co-signers should always look at their available options. There are a lot of banks and credit card companies to choose from, which makes it in your best interest to look around. Some cards will come with high APR and a high annual fee, while some are more reasonable. With high school students not having any credit, some banks and companies will try to charge unreasonable rates – which is reason enough to do your research and know the best deal. Co-signers can normally help students to make the best decision. The co-signer will be going on the application with the student, and will be the individual that the bank or company will come to when the student is unable to pay the bill. Parents and co-signers will know the best deals for credit cards, which is students should always ask them for help when picking out the ideal credit card. For some students, prepaid credit cards can be an ideal investment. These cards hold absolutely no risk for students, while they help to teach financial management as well. With these high school student credit cards, the prepaid amount you have put on the card is your spending limit. To ensure that the application for is filled out correctly, students should always have a parent or guardian assist them with filling the information out. When a student gets their credit card, they should be instructed on how to properly use the credit card. Although some students will be tempted to run up their high school student credit card, they should save it for emergency situations. At the end of the month, they should try to pay their whole bill, to avoid getting into debt. If a student can pay the bill – it will also help boost their credit. If you are interested in a high school student credit card, you can always apply for one online. The applications are processed in a timely manner, normally giving you a response in a matter of minutes. Although credit cards are great to have, prepaid credit cards are sometimes the way to go with students. If you are unsure – make sure you look into all options available to you and compare what you find out.

Future Map Thought

To Appreciate Book Tittle “Thinking about the Future”

By: Admin

Nowadays, there were many pharases explain future map. Either in management, bussines or personal perspectives. One of the book is a book titled “Thinking about the Future“, a book co-edited by Social Technologies’ Andy Hines and futurist Peter Bishop.

This book explained as summary by Kyle Spector as bellow:

The best way to do this is to map the issue in a simple systems map–identifying the key stakeholders and driving forces influencing the issue, then exploring the relationships among them.

Mapping an issue in its systemic context is done at the very beginning of a strategic activity. The systems map lays out a framework for the activity. Also, new issues and stakeholders will likely emerge as the activity proceeds.

Key steps: Creating a systems map is straightforward, involving several steps. First, define the issue crisply. Once your issue is crisply defined, identify the forces, trends, and actors relevant to it. Then sort the prioritized forces and stakeholders according to their relationships to the issue and to one another. Lastly, check the systems map against a STEEP framework: social, technological, economic, environmental, and political forces, plus any additional categories of forces deemed relevant, e.g., educational trends. Run the issue through these categories to see if any influential forces or stakeholders were missed during the ideation.

A challenge in systems mapping is to get the level of complexity right. Once the system is mapped, the activity is on solid footing.

Benefits: A systems map is a tool for understanding the context of an activity. Placing the issue in context deepens understanding of it, and identifies ways the issue might be influenced and changed in the future by key forces or stakeholders.
Another benefit of systems maps is that they identify external factors that organizations might otherwise miss.

A systems map also provides a visual framework for the activity. If the activity has its own physical space, create a poster- or wall-sized systems map. Coates was engaged by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to explore emerging environmental issues.

This fact shows us that future map has been being a popular words to people.

More mean Future Map

There many interpretation about Future Map. When You surf on Wikipedia as the largest online encyclopedia, You will find mean about Future Map as bellow.

“…The Future Map is a methodology for building scenarios based on the collection of anticipated events.

The concept is based on the idea that a group of people who integrate the partial visions of its members into a common, shared, discussed, large enough, collection of anticipated events it can eventually reveal its own Shared Future.

Because the Future Map methodology is dynamic and implemented on a wiki -platform the Future projected by the group is constantly under revision. By process, the community learns how to adapt to future changes and increases its ability to face “unexpected events”, it improves what the author calls its future-readiness…”

These explanations are not different to the concept explained here.
